Security guard must have uniform and bicycle

23 April 2008 - The Slotervaart District wants to contract fourteen private security guards. Ten will police the streets and four will watch footage from security cameras. What criteria must they meet?

The specifications state that the guards must present a certificate of moral conduct. Further, they must be reflect the local population, which means that some of them must have an ethnic minority background.

The guards must wear uniforms that do not resemble police uniforms too much, but that do show that they work for the municipality. Further, their employer must provide them with a bicycle and a cell phone or walkie-talkie.

All guards must be experienced. The guards who will watch camera footage must further have completed a relevant training.
