As far as Alderman Eric Wiebes is concerned, there will be no easily searchable register of subsidies, he indicated last week in a council committee meeting. Wiebes responded positively but ‘cautiously’ to a proposal of VVD and D66 to make government data more actively publicly available, for example for use by app developers. Council members said Wiebes might show some more ambition, but the alderman declined to make concrete promises.
