17th-century Arms of Amsterdam in New York

During reconstruction work at the New York metro, a piece of blue stoneware from the 17th century with the Arms of Amsterdam has been found. The object was found at the location of the farm of Stephanus van Cortlandt, the city’s first native-born mayor. The city may exhibit the found in the future.
